Elizabeth Juarez (b. 1997) is a Mexican-American conceptual artist whose practice centers on sculpture and performance. Her sculptural garments and performances explore complex emotional landscapes through the body, using organic and industrial materials to examine vulnerability, transformation, identity, and catharsis.
Juarez’s work is rooted in growth and self-examination, often using the body as a site for exploring how people construct identities, protect themselves, and navigate what remains after those defenses are shed. Through sculptural garments, performance, and material experimentation, she creates encounters that balance tenderness with discomfort and humor with heavier emotional realities. Her work embraces the absurdity of the human condition as a means of confronting, deconstructing, and transforming experiences of vulnerability, ultimately making space for spiritual pruning and growth.
